MPACT, the consortium which has built all of Manchester’s recent Metrolink expansion, have just awarded Bethell a £6.0m+ order for all macadam and asphalt surfacing works on the latest section, the £350m extension to the Trafford Centre.
The £6.0m award fort he surfacing works in addition to our civil engineering works which have been ongoing since the start of the year. The surfacing programme will keep us continuously engaged in the scheme over the next three years and we expect to receive many more work opportunities during this period.
All our great work carried out on previous phases on the Airport Line, East Didsbury Line and City Centre Crossing has led to this huge contract award so thanks to all staff involved in these earlier schemes for establishing our reputation for excellence.
Bethell is pleased to share that the Considerate Constructors Scheme ("CCS") has rated our Hoyles Lane Major Capital Project scheme as Excellent in all 3 categories, awarding us full marks in every category!
