Bethell plugs in – investing today for a sustainable tomorrow!

Bethell’s recent investment in electric vehicle (EV) technologies has moved a stage further with the investment and installation of charging infrastructure at our Head Offices.

Supporting our sustainability values and corporate strategy, and assisting the industry’s Net Zero 2050 drive, we now have the ability to provide our people and stakeholders with EV charging facilities. These will provide easy charging access, therefore encouraging our people to make the change and convert to fully electric vehicles.

Following this investment, we are now offering enhanced car allowances, as well as the Inland Revenue’s own tax incentives, to enable our employees to make the change to EVs. By supporting the business and wider industry and economic drive towards carbon reduction, we are ensuring that we address the today’s needs, whilst protecting tomorrow for our future generations.

Tim Kilroe, Group Managing Director, commented: “We are delighted to have commissioned our Head Office Charging Units. This investment is a clear indicator of our sustainability intentions, assisting in supporting our corporate strategy of replacing >5% of our operational fleet each year with electric or other renewable technologies. I am a great believer in leading from the front and have recently changed my company car to a Tesla and to date my experience has been excellent. This will greatly improve as more and more EV charging facilities are being created across the country. I am hoping and encouraging more staff to follow suit.”
