There was nothing too remarkable about the recent award of a £140,000 contract package for groundworks to an Aldi store extension at Salop Street in Liverpool except for the fact that this was Bethell’s 50th successful contract win for the German retail group.
Bethell have been involved in Aldi’s incredible success story since 2007 when we were first successful with a bid to construct a new sewer diversion for a planned store at Ellesmere Port. In the past nine years we have undertaken many different civil engineering packages many exceeding £1.0m in value. We hope to continue being a part of their success story as they plan to construct up to 65 new stores per year across the UK.
