Alton Towers Resort

RAW Charging is the leading supplier of electric vehicle charging infrastructure to the hospitality, leisure and retail sectors. In 2023, RAW announced it was working in exclusive partnership with Merlin Entertainments to install and operate electric vehicle charging across some of the UK’s top attractions.

As a result of the success of our ongoing delivery, Bethell was named as one of the contractors to deliver EV chargers across several of Merlin’s sites.

Executive Summary: Alton Towers is the UK’s largest theme park resort, spanning 550 acres of land in central Staffordshire. Bethell Utility Services was contracted on behalf of RAW to deliver EV charging at the resort’s premium, main hotel, staff and indoor waterpark car parks.

Due to the busy nature of the site, all works were conducted in consideration of visitors, with a segregated working area set up to minimise disruption to guests using the car park.
