National Trust

RAW Charging, one of the largest UK providers of electric vehicle charging solutions and infrastructure for the UK’s net zero future, is working with the National Trust to install electric vehicle charging for visitors to the Trust’s iconic locations across the UK.

Executive Summary: As part of our long-term partnership with RAW, Bethell Utility Services has been contracted to deliver EV charging for 50 National Trust sites, working closely with the Trust to sympathetically integrate the infrastructure into its environment.

As a result, visitors can enjoy affordable and reliable access to EV charging facilities, enabling the Trust to meet its own ambitious target to become a carbon net-zero organisation by 2030 and to fulfil its purpose of caring for special places for everyone, for ever.

Scope of Works: Bethell provided a full turn-key service, delivering the design, commissioning and installation of AC charging units for the sites, whilst ensuring that the infrastructure is sensitive to its unique environment and in keeping with surrounding historical buildings.

To achieve this, Bethell utilised existing ducting to minimise excavation works, mitigating disruption for visitors and preventing damage to historic buildings.
