Platform (King Street West)

Hargreaves Contracting appointed Bethell Utility Services to undertake all required on and off-site works for the Platform development in Stockport, which consisted of 73 apartments.
Bethell designed and constructed an HV electricity network from the proposed point of connection to an 11kV substation located on site.
This was then connected to an LV electricity network, also designed and constructed by our Bethell team, with a total development demand capacity of 500kVA.
The apartment block's supply consisted of one 600A Heavy Duty Cut-Out (no metering), with outgoing ways to Multi-Service Distribution Boards (MSDBs) located on every floor, forming the BNO network.
Lateral LSOH services were included, with the meters sited adjacent to the MSDBs in the service risers and in the apartments. The exit point of our electrical works was the outgoing terminals of the MSDB.
The housing scheme was officially opened to the public in September 2025.
