The first of our twice- yearly Health, Safety and Wellbeing stand down days took place on Tuesday 28 January at the AJ Bell Stadium in Salford. Almost 400 people took part in the event which ran throughout the day with Bethell Construction promoting a positive message in the morning followed by Bethell Utilities presenting a similar message in the afternoon.
We took the opportunity to invite clients and members of our supply chain to inform them of the direction we are heading, inform on key health and safety issues, outline any H&S challenges and review our own progress from the previous year.
We had the pleasure of welcoming motivational speaker Matt Hazelton to our briefing who delivered an unforgettable, inspirational speech about the tragic and devastating affect an accident at work had on his life, his family’s life and lives of the community in which he lived.
Matt’s hard-hitting presentation technique was very well received by both staff and clients alike, his message helping to increase safety awareness across all levels.
