Our story so far
Bethell are a Manchester based civil engineering and utility services group, Bethell, is continuing its major expansion plans in 2022 and 2023, targeting a strengthening of its workforce by up to 20%. Bethell, which has operated in the Northwest for over 150 years, has a significant number of framework contracts with the Utility sector, Local Authorities and key infrastructure clients.
What we are looking for
We are looking to bring in a trainee or assistant estimator to assist the Pre-Construction and Estimating team in the preparation and submission of accurate and high-quality tender bids relating to general civil engineering projects. Someone with prior experience of civils project estimating, who can grasp tender processes and documentations and be comfortable in meetings with clients and subcontractors. You will be tasked with compiling resulting quotes for analysis and support in the production of quantity take-offs utilising software, printing & scanning of drawings and documents.
A little about you
We want someone who is either studying for their HNC in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying, or who is looking to start their career with us from scratch. A good knowledge of the civil engineering industry would be the perfect benchmark, but it's not mandatory. With the job it would be great if your IT skills were of an intermediate level and you have good time management.
