We are a Manchester based civil engineering and utility services group, continuing our major expansion plans in 2023 targeting a strengthening of its workforce by up to 20%. Bethell, which has operated in the Northwest for over 150 years, has a significant number of framework contracts with the Utility sector, Local Authorities, and key infrastructure clients. With this exciting growth, we are now expanding our key departments that support the Group, and Bethell now have an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to join us in our pre-construction team as a Junior Planner.
What Will The Role Involve?
Bethell currently have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Planner to join our pre-construction and operations team. You will report into the pre-construction and planning leads to assist the Company’s planning function, providing all the necessary technical support in software management and internal stakeholder liaison, with on-the-job learning and development of programme management.
If you are successful in securing the Junior Planner position, you will work with operational and preconstruction/estimating staff to address appropriate planning and coordination arrangements with client partners, design partners, subcontractors, and other professionals to support operational process and drive cost efficiency.
You will assist the project and commercial lead in the management of key project deliverables such as critical path identification, tracking contract progress, amendment of programme to reflect change and as-built programme records.
What Key Skills & Experience Are We Looking For?
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the construction industry
Degree or HND equivalent in civil engineering
Experience in local authority highways, groundworks, and highways structures.
A working proficiency in Microsoft Project software would be beneficial.
Knowledge / Experience of Primavera P6 desirable
