March commenced with Women in Construction Week, a nationwide celebration of the talented female staff in our sector who make vital construction and utility projects happen.
This included a special networking lunch at our Bethell HQ, where our female staff convened to learn about influential women in the history of construction, celebrate their achievements and share words of encouragement or advice for each other.
One question we were keen to understand was – why construction? The industry requires a variety of different roles, from the office to site, and there are many pathways available for women looking to start their journey or make a mid-career pivot. Four of our talented ladies at Bethell shared their personal experiences on starting their career in construction and what advice they’d give to anyone else looking to do the same.
