Last year Storm Desmond caused severe flooding in Cumbria and the Lakes. The flooding caused damage to roads and bridges throughout the Lakes.
In 2016/17 Cumbria County Council will spend £150m+ on remediating the damage and improving the infrastructure to control future floods. Bethell Construction have been appointed by Cumbria CC as one of a select number of Contractors to carry out the remedials.
We are currently working on 23 live sites covering roadworks, drainage and slope stabilisation, and are strongly hopeful of further works next year.
