Lea Grange

Lea Grange is a development consisting of 82 homes, located in St. Helens, Merseyside. Featuring a mix of three and four-bedroom semi-detached and detached houses, the scheme was developed by Anwyl Homes in association with Homes England, St. Helens Council and Liverpool City Region Combined Regional Authority.

Following initial approval for development, Bethell Utility Services were contracted by the client Anwyl Homes to design, supply and install electric, water and gas utility connections for the new dwellings.

Bethell was responsible for the installation of new gas, water, and electric infrastructure, streetlighting connections and the undertaking of all on-site and off-site excavations for mains and services. Works consisted of the installation of over 2km of water, electric and gas mains on-site, and the installation and fitting of gas and water meters for all 82 properties.

The off-site excavation work undertaken by Bethell included backfill, permanent reinstatement and spoil removal. On behalf of the client, Bethell excavated and installed end washouts on Lowfield Lane and Leaside, ready for branch installations by United Utilities and piece-up connections to be carried out by Bethell Utility Services.

Following Bethell’s successful delivery of this scheme for the client, we have secured future placements on two other developments with Anwyl Homes, delivering connections for Winnington Place in Northwich and Whittle Brook Park in Heywood.
