Upsizing of existing infrastructure with an aim to create more resilience in the local wastewater network, decreasing the risk of flooding for local residents. Installation of a new online upsized sewer along Hoyles Lane and across the West of Preston using open cut methods, supported by our vacuum excavator with approximately 4000m of existing sewers to be replaced or upgraded to 600mm & 900mm diameters. There are 3no crossings where we are utilising trenchless guided auger bore crossings underneath the Preston-Blackpool Railway line & Lancaster Canal as well as sinking 2 shafts either side of Savick Brook and driving 110m of 1200mm dia pipe jacked tunnel utilising a full-face slurry TBM due to the ground conditions with 500mm and 300mm Syphon pipework to be threaded through on completion.
