What Will the role involve?
Bethell currently have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Contracts Manager with knowledge, experience and expertise in United Utilities Wastewater Frameworks and associated civil engineering works. You will possess skills that exhibit excellent health and safety standards, programme achievement, high quality standards, profit responsibility and other specific outcomes set out in the client’s brief. You will work collaboratively with our main works teams, internal staff, sub-contractors, operatives and other professionals to support the performance outcomes of each project. As the point of contact for the client, you will Keep the client informed of progress and any changes as they occur, and take responsibility for ensuring correspondence with the client is being recorded adequately. You will have a great understanding of the Client’s Requirements each project, record variations as they arise, and ultimately assist the Quantity Surveyors with the task of competing fair and accurate valuations.
Tell us about you
Ideally, candidates should Degree qualified in civil engineering / construction management or possess HND equivalent, possess other relevant industry accreditations pertinent to the role and have at least five years’ experience of undertaking a similar role within the wastewater sector.
Essential
· Experience in wastewater/excavation/groundworks/concreting/drainage
· Minimum 10 years’ experience in a site supervisory role
· HNC/HND/Degree qualification in construction-related studies
· Minimum Gold Card CSCS accreditation
· SMSTS 5-day accreditation
· Minimum 3-day first aid accreditation
· Full Clean Driving Licence
· Temporary Works Supervisor accreditation
· NRSWA Supervisor / Lantra 12D accreditation
· SEATS accreditation (Site Environmental)
· Good working knowledge of the construction industry and of all relevant trade disciplines
· Good understanding of the CDM regulations
· Good understanding of NEC Form of Contract
