Bethell appoints Dave Sidaway to lead No-Dig Solutions division!

As part of our ongoing strategic development, Bethell Group has appointed Dave Sidaway to lead our newly established Shaft-Sinking and No-Dig Solutions division within Bethell Construction Ltd.

The initial focus for this new business stream will be the delivery of key works in United Utilities (UU) Major Capital Projects that Bethell has recently secured.

Due to the importance of this work, we will aim to self-deliver and strengthen our overall offering for water authorities, providing a competitive solution in the marketplace. Already, Bethell has been involved in United Utilities’ AMP 8 early engagement sessions to target network improvements to alleviate the risk of river pollution, generating a future pipeline of opportunities where this new in-house expertise will be vital towards providing additional added value to our clients, offering a further unique selling point (USP) to Bethell underpinning our 10-year corporate strategy.

Dave has previous experience working on the High Speed 2 (HS2) railway project and previously worked for several companies including J. Murphy & Sons, Barhale and Forkers in the Midlands. In addition, he has worked on numerous projects for the water industry within the Severn Trent region, involving shaft sinking, tunnelling and other no-dig solutions.

Dave Sidaway said: “I’m excited to join Bethell, a well-established company with a strong reputation. Now, I’m looking forward to leading the No-Dig Solutions business, growing the team, delivering efficient engineered solutions whilst providing a return into the business for the future.”
