How we’re committing to our carbon reduction targets!

Bethell joins over 5000 companies and financial institutions in taking vital steps to help deliver a net-zero economy, as we are proud to have had our net-zero targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)!

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a global body enabling businesses to set ambitious emissions reductions targets in line with the latest climate science. It is focused on accelerating companies across the world to halve emissions before 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions before 2050.

As an organisation, by 2030, we have committed to reducing our scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions by 42% from a 2020 base year, and to measure and reduce our scope 3 emissions. To achieve this target, we’re working collaboratively with our clients and supply chain to help them meet their carbon net-zero goals, innovating to provide sustainable solutions for our customers and the communities that we serve.

Martin Burke, Senior HSQE Manager at Bethell Group, said: “At Bethell we realise that science-based target initiatives for carbon reduction will guide us toward a sustainable future, ensuring we work responsibly and helping to safeguard our planet for generations to come.”
